Now in its second year as a network-wide event, BIBS • CAL continues to foster athletic excellence and school spirit across BASIS International & Bilingual Schools.
BIBS • CAL comprises two divisions: the Southern Conference (Guangzhou, Park Lane Harbour, and Shenzhen) and the Northern Conference (Chengdu, Hangzhou, Nanjing, and Wuhan). This year, nearly 1,000 students and staff from nine schools gathered for the three-day competition, which featured five sports across two age groups. BASIS International School Shenzhen proudly hosted the event, utilizing its outstanding facilities along with the Shenzhen Bay Sports Center and the Bao’an Stadium. Additionally, we were excited to welcome BASIS Bilingual School Guangming Shenzhen, our newest campus, as they participated for the first time.
Middle School Swimming
Once again, the swimming competition was electrifying. With the introduction of parent spectators, the atmosphere soared, motivating our swimmers to perform at their very best. After 22 events and 63 heats, BASIS International School Shenzhen emerged as both the boys’ and girls’ champions.
High School Volleyball
The high school volleyball tournament showcased remarkable teamwork, impressive performances, and exemplary sportsmanship. The finals for both the boys’ and girls’ teams were fiercely contested, with three of the four first-place and third-place matches decided by just two points in the third set. Ultimately, BASIS International School Park Lane Harbour emerged victorious, clinching the championship title with an outstanding performance.
