The first year of BASIS Bilingual Kindergarten Futian has come to an end, and what an adventure it has been!
We officially opened our doors in August 2024 as the second standalone early childhood education (ECE) campus in the BASIS International & Bilingual Schools network. Our founding year kicked off with seven vibrant classes ranging from PK1 to Kindergarten (ages 3-6), led by a teaching team eager to introduce our cutting-edge curriculum to the community.
Purpose-Built Campus

This philosophy guided us throughout the year, ensuring that our students felt secure as they embarked on their learning journeys. Our purpose-built campus was the first inspiration for achieving this. It was designed with young learners in mind and features spacious and well-equipped classrooms, a sand pool, a theatre, an indoor playroom, an outdoor playground, and specialist classrooms. These facilities not only enhance the educational experience but also foster collaboration, creativity, and a sense of community among our students.

Dedicated Team of Educators

Throughout the year, we prioritized building strong, meaningful connections between our educators and students, creating a rich learning atmosphere. This year, we have been fortunate to work with a dedicated team of educators who are not only experts in their fields but are also deeply passionate about fostering a love of learning in every child. Our teachers embraced each challenge with positivity and innovation, continually seeking ways to enhance their teaching practices. To support their growth, we implemented book studies, weekly staff training, and professional development days that provided valuable opportunities for knowledge exchange and continuous improvement of classroom practices.
Celebrated Achievements

We celebrated numerous achievements throughout the year, both big and small. Our students showcased their talents during musical performances, and we celebrated significant events, including Sports Day, the Mid-Autumn Festival, and a memorable Children’s Day celebration that highlighted our students’ growth and accomplishments. Among our shining achievements was our inaugural kindergarten graduation, where 50 proud students became the first-ever graduates of BASIS Bilingual Kindergarten Futian, ready to embark on their Primary School journey. This milestone was not just a celebration; it was a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students and staff.
A Bright Future

As we look forward to the 2025-2026 school year, we are excited to expand our offerings from seven to twelve classes, achieving full enrollment. This significant milestone reflects the hard work our BASIS Bilingual Kindergarten Futian team has put into creating a reputation for high-quality bilingual play-based education. Our goals for the upcoming year include further enhancing our curriculum to foster creativity, critical thinking, and social-emotional skills. We remain committed to ensuring that each student transitions smoothly to their next educational steps, all while nurturing an environment filled with joy and curiosity.
As you move forward, whether advancing to the next grade level or embarking on new challenges, we wish you all a summer filled with adventure, exploration, and joy.
