It’s that time of year again…the holiday season! The holidays are frequently a time for rest, gifts, travel, and spending time with family and friends. Our schools are enjoying a well-deserved winter holiday, but before they left, each campus celebrated the holiday season with their own unique decorations, performances, celebrations, and more.
From lavish library displays and Spirit Week holiday theme days, to Santa visits and Christmas themed performances, take a look at the unique and beautiful ways our campuses have rung in the holiday season this year!
BASIS International School Park Lane Harbour
The Winter Concert series at BASIS International School Park Lane Harbour was full of great performances from the middle and high school bands, and middle school choir. Students showed off their improving skills and musicianship through a selection of holiday themed songs.
The school library was also in the holiday spirit with a lavish themed book display. Through activities such as “Christmas Reading Bingo” the librarians reminded students to continue to enjoy reading over the long holiday, while improving their skills in finding the materials they are looking for quickly.
BASIS International School Hangzhou
Christmas Spirit Week at BASIS International School Hangzhou gave students and teachers the opportunity to show off their most festive winter and holiday attire with theme days including Winter Character Day, Christmas Sweater Day, and Christmas Hat Day.

BASIS International School Nanjing
Early Childhood students at BASIS International School Nanjing presented a number of upbeat Christmas songs as part of their winter concert, while the kindergarten students performed the stories of Santa’s reindeer…who thought they were kangaroos!
Upper school drama students presented “10 Days of Christmas”–a series of unconnected scenes varying in style and genre.
But the drama department members were not the only ones in the Christmas spirit, the upper school music ensembles performed a wide variety of music as part of “Once Upon a December.” The performance included the newly formed school orchestra in their first public appearance!

The 2022 BISZ Winter Choral Music Concert featured collaboration from the teachers of the primary, middle and high school choirs to revamp previous Christmas-themed concerts and capture the broader winter season.
BASIS International School Bangkok
Students took to the stage as part of their Winter Wonderland Christmas show. For our youngest learners, the holiday season was made complete by a visit from the man himself…Santa Claus!

At BASIS Bilingual School Shenzhen, teachers helped Kindergarten students make Christmas cookies and decorations as part of their lessons.
