When I first walked into a BASIS Curriculum Schools classroom in 2010, I knew I had found something extraordinary—a place where passionate educators and curious students push the boundaries of learning. In 2015, I moved with my family to China to help launch the first BASIS International School. We quickly fell in love with life here and have made China our home. As the network expanded, I had the privilege of mentoring teachers and school leaders while shaping academic programs. Yet what I have missed most is the heartbeat of a school—the laughter in the hallways, the energy of a great lesson, and the joy of seeing students thrive. That’s why I am thrilled to join BASIS International School Guangzhou (BIGZ) as Head of School.
BIGZ is more than a school – it is a community. Our campus sits in Science City, a green, peaceful enclave just outside Guangzhou’s bustling center in the Huangpu District.
